-- About HSI --

HSI Financial Services, LLC (HSI) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Phoenix Healthcare Management Services and VHA Georgia. HSI's main focus is to provide AR management and collection services to members and other health organizations at competitive rates. HSI was established in 1984 and has since served hospitals and affiliated physicians with phenomenal results.

HSI was founded by healthcare executives and all programs offered are designed specifically and exclusively to support healthcare institutions and facilitate improved AR recovery. HSI focuses on four components of the AR cycle: active AR, which is worked in HSI’s Virtual Business Office (VBO), bad debt collections, insurance billing and follow up, and payment monitoring service. To further extend the added value services offered, HSI has developed strategic partnerships with firms to provide secondary collection efforts, staffing solutions, AR clean-up solutions, and pre-legal and legal collection services.

While other collection companies stray outside the healthcare industry, HSI has dedicated its resources exclusively to healthcare clients. One-third of HSI’s account representatives are Certified Patient Account Representatives (CPAR) certified by Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA). And all of HSI’s bad debt collectors are tested and certified by the National Healthcare Collectors Association. HSI currently employs approximately 150 healthcare representatives who work in the Atlanta, Georgia office.

The VBO, Monitor, Insurance, and Bad Debt programs have been proven to be invaluable assets to HSI’s clients. Producing recoveries higher than the industry standard, with competitive rates, has set HSI apart from the competition in primary bad debt collections. HSI's approach to collections is to be a partner with our client. Initial collection guidelines are established in conjunction with HSI operation staff and the client’s business office management staff. A customized program is then developed to meet the needs of each client.

HSI’s ownership, VHA Georgia hospitals, hold HSI accountable for being on the leading edge of healthcare collections, trends, and regulations. For this reason, HSI has become the choice for many prestigious and grounded healthcare systems.

To provide the highest netback return to our clients while providing excellent customer service to patients and clients.
